The game was still downloadable through the BigFish website as recently as 2019, but has since been removed. The third game in the series, The Wild Thornberrys Australian Wildlife Rescue, was a downloadable game available for purchase through BigFish. The second game, Rugrats Go Wild Wildlife Rescue was a flash game released in 2003 to promote the eponymous crossover film and took place in the South China Sea.
The first game, called The Wild Thornberrys Africa Wildlife Rescue was a flash game released based off of the eponymous cartoon and took place in the Serengeti of Africa. There were three games released in the series, all similar in gameplay. The concept of the series was that the player would act as a ranger working to rescue sick, endangered animals by bringing them to a compound and nursing them back to health by finding or buying them medicine, food, and water.
